This company has ambitious goals. They definitely want to be a leader in the lighting industry. Nice people work here.

Minpunten

Constantly hiring from the top down, making more and more work for the people at the bottom while all the VPs make more and more money off our hard work. Should start staffing and paying the lesser exciting departments better to help maintain staff moral and reduce high turnover rate we seem to have here. This company has “suggestion boxes” but seem to ignore them completely.

We have a long-standing open-door policy where any team member is encouraged to meet with anyone in leadership to share constructive feedback. We believe that the best way to meet our objective of continuous growth and improvement is through candid, two-way dialogue rather than being responsive or reactive to anonymous posts on websites; particularly those which contain false information. All current employees are encouraged to share their opinions at any time, as we find them valuable and help create positive change. Former employees interested in helping us create a stronger organization are invited to participate in exit interviews upon their departure or at any time afterwards with anyone in our leadership team.

I believe we should have a better system to gather warehouses documents., Need efficient billing system. Allow to carry over vacation times .

We’ve heard similar input around document management and billing, and these are areas we’ve been actively evaluating. Over the past year, we’ve made updates to our SOPs and strengthened our document control processes to improve consistency, accessibility, and accountability across warehouse operations. In parallel, we’ve been refining our billing systems to drive greater efficiency, accuracy, and visibility. This is ongoing work, and we’re continuing to assess tools and processes to better support the business as we grow. Regarding vacation, our current approach is designed to encourage employees to fully disconnect and recharge each year, rather than deferring time off. We believe this supports both individual well-being and sustained performance across teams. That said, we understand perspectives on flexibility and continue to review our policies to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with employee needs. We appreciate your insights—they help inform where we focus next.

Pluspunten

MaxLite has a lot going for it. The company is in a growth phase, the products are solid, and there are many intelligent, capable people who genuinely care about the business. Cross-functional exposure is strong, and there is meaningful work to be done — especially if you enjoy building processes, improving structure, and supporting business growth. There are opportunities to make an impact if you are proactive. I really enjoy all my colleges here at MaxLite. It is the first time in my career that I can consider coworkers as friends.

Minpunten

Leadership communication is on a large spectrum. Respect the hierarchy. You really need to be flexible, pivot and manage different management styles. At times, asking clarifying questions can be perceived as pushback rather than diligence.
