Menards is a company that appears to give a damn about its employees and the management staff is all hired from within the ranks. I love my job with Menards, the story of the company is incredible and when I listen to my store manager talk about his career so far I know that i'm on the right track with the right company

Minpunten

Slow industry, and while Menard's has never closed a store there are times when the climb seems too tall but otherwise its a great company. There is no difference between a department manager and a long time full time team member except the stress and greater responsibility.

A few of the people are nice to work with.

A store manager who talks down to employees like they're children (and apparently gets promoted for it). A store manager who acts like employees are idiots for calling him to ask questions. Raises are pathetic. Understaffed because the store manager won't allow enough labor hours to do the job, particularly on Sundays when there's a lot of freight.
