The biggest issue is leadership, especially at the executive level (VP/CEO/COO). The management style is extremely micromanaging and controlling, and it creates a stressful, uncomfortable environment day-to-day.
The office atmosphere felt tense and quiet—more like being watched than being supported. There’s a clear lack of trust in employees, and communication from leadership often comes across as excessive, dismissive, or patronizing.
Work-life balance is very poor. There’s little understanding when it comes to being sick or dealing with personal responsibilities, and it often feels like you’re expected to always be available. Boundaries aren’t respected, and that leads to quick burnout.
Overall, many of the cultural issues stem directly from executive leadership style, and it trickles down into the entire organization.
