Pluspunten
Caring committed coworkers, good benefits including healthcare, disability insurance, 401K with matching after 1 year, productivity bonuses for direct care staff and professional development fund. Recent salary increases due to research of market expectations commiserate with years of experience.
Minpunten
Rapid expansion during the last 2 years have depleted competent management, caused structural overload and degradation. Currently, company VP's struggle to manage 10+ county offices, some without clinical leadership to provide appropriate clinical supervision of unlicensed staff or clinical oversight needed by DMHA guidelines. It is an unfortunate byproduct of supervisors who exit without warning due to impossible workload and expectations. Those clinical staff members with full licensure have caseloads of 100+ clients and are expected to be a "resource to interns and associates" without benefit of title or pay for greatly increased responsibility and workload thus minimizing ability to achieve expected productivity requirements and that bonus listed in the Pros statement. While bonuses are pain at times, the bonus structure changed last year, reducing bonuses previously enjoyed by 1/2. Further, negotiate your best salary upon hire. While there ARE annual reviews, there are NOT annual pay increases. Unless you move up or gain a new certification, tile or position, there are NO salary increases given, even for above average work. New ACA requirements include multiple layers of licensure requirements for direct service staff. Continued hiring of unlicensed staff reduces ability of interns/associates to meet productivity guidelines, make bonuses, etc increase need for supervision (which is already minimal or unavailable) and only adds to limited availability of licensed staff able to meet insurance or Medicaid/Medicare requirements resulting in extreme overload of your most valuable resource.
