Everyone on the administrative team had a great work ethic and was very nice, but I felt horribly betrayed by them when they pushed me "under the bus" for grading accurately.

Some students and parents are determined to get high grades at all costs, and the administration apparently finds it easy, particularly in departments like foreign language where they lack minimal competence, to give parents what they demand at the cost of their integrity and their duty to understand and support good teachers.

Hardworking, positive-thinking administrative teams believe success is possible.

I had the impression that this middle and high school hastily came up with their mission and definition of success as: all students earning high grades and using as much technology as possible. They also seem to stive for student happiness instead of respecting the reality that happiness comes from the creation of meaning. If you pay them enough, some therapists will tell you you deserve to be happy and to be indulged by your teachers and administrators, but that philosophy is not, in the long run, a good premise for a functioning society.
