Meridian is now (past 1+ year) under the leadership of Jeff Kristick, a seasoned vet in the industry. Jeff has built out a competent and effective leadership team to address some of the issues that Meridian has experienced in the past. Under Jeff's leadership, the product has improved significantly. The Product team is focused on making the product more intuitive and has really improved the overall UI making it much more usable and modern. New features are voted on by the client community to ensure customers are helping to build Product versus Meridian just guessing what the market wants. Jeff is also passionate about our customers and and has brought a renewed focus on both employee and customer satisfaction. Happy employees translates to happy customers. There are a ton of brilliant people working at Meridian who are passionate about what they do. Everyone knows the names of each others kids and spouses and what they like to do for fun. There's a really close knit community here that I haven't experienced elsewhere. The work-life balance here is amazing and Jeff sets the tone from the top that family is #1. The work is certainly challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. I feel empowered and like my voice and ideas matter here.

Minpunten

The product needs to continue to improve and evolve. Since Jeff began, it has already grown leaps and bounds. We need to continue on this path. Soliciting feedback from current customers + priortizing quality features over the quantity of features has made a huge impact. Bring back consistent 401k matching.

I’ve been on the support team at Meridian for almost two years, and I genuinely enjoy working here. The company culture is welcoming and supportive, and I’ve had consistently positive experiences with everyone I’ve interacted with. People are always willing to help, regardless of their role or team. One of the things I appreciate most about my role is that it allows me to wear different hats, no two days are exactly the same, which keeps the work interesting and engaging. My days are just the right amount of busy; I end each day feeling productive and accomplished, but not burned out. The management team is transparent, approachable, and always available for a conversation. It’s clear they care about their employees and take the time to listen. I’ve never had any issues taking PTO or time off when needed, work-life balance is definitely respected here. I also find the work to be meaningful, and I’m constantly learning and growing. The environment encourages development and curiosity, which makes it easy to stay motivated. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Meridian to others. It’s a place where you feel valued, supported, and challenged in all the right ways.

Minpunten

This isn’t necessarily a con, but more of a preference depending on your background. Meridian is a smaller company, and the team operates more like a close-knit group. If you're used to working at a large corporation, it can be a bit of a transition — processes and communication styles may feel different simply due to the size of the organization. That said, I’ve found the more personal, agile environment to be a positive experience overall.

The pay wasn't good for the work, and the perks weren't good either. People were always stressed out and didn't have a good work-life balance because they were supposed to be available all the time, even when they worked from home. There was no real way to grow unless you were part of the "in crowd," and management had different ideas for different people. People were overworked and underpaid, even though the product was good. Morale was low and turnover was high.

More than 75% of Meridian’s current managers were promoted into their current positions from within the company based upon their performance and career growth.
