Instead, Vexus leadership was left in charge, which has created noticeable favoritism—salary bumps and promotions have almost exclusively gone to former Vexus employees. The current director lacks strong leadership and leaves many questioning the direction of the Texas operation. Supervisors are expected to be available nearly 24/7, even though this is never clearly stated. You’re expected to work through outages regardless of the day, remain on call unless you’re on vacation, and even PTO often comes with interruptions. Work-life balance is essentially non-existent. Leadership in Texas fosters a replaceable mindset. The director’s go-to phrase—“why don’t we just fire them”—reflects how little value is placed on retaining and supporting employees. This culture drives disengagement and uncertainty about the company’s future in the region. Lastly, pay is outrageously terrible for the people that matter the most, supervisors, techs, NFTs.
