Poor leadership and management in general from most departments in the business which lead to a lot politics -as if there wasn't a career ladder to climb but instead a social ladder within the company. Most of the leaders are white privileged men who firstly prefer to be ignorant towards anything causing issues and have a preference to a top-to-bottom outlook in management and nothing from bottom-to-top. New starters and juniors are treated like fresh graduates who have no experience although may be one of the smartest people in the department- this is to keep a hierarchal approach and managers seem reluctant to allow growth as if it may be a threat to their own positions. Unfair dismissals were very common and the trend was towards people of colour which is extremely unfortunate. It created a constant 'walking on egg shells' environment and never comfortable with even your own team. MiQ puts on an amazing facade of being fun, inclusive, diverse and fair even with internal discussions on issues such as the BLM movement however fail to tackle their own unconscious racism as if to talk about these real issues would be a great cover up. I think the CEO being British Indian himself is also hopeful that this sort of behaviour can't exist in the company but you'd be surprised. The lack of genuine people who actually truly care about their employees stems from the HR department who is extremely political and not genuine at all. It's a shame a company with so much potential has a lot of people who fail to make that company what it could be and are instead dragging it through the mud!
