Pluspunten
- They had some interesting projects but they were few & far between as work dried up very fast. - They were honest about when payment would be done for freelancers ( twice a month) & they stuck to this. The longest delay would go on for was probably a day after the usual pay day(s).
Minpunten
There are several cons I would say that existed from my time working here in a remote role. 1. The communication is either non existed or terrible at best regarding work oppportunities or when the next project will come around. The channels the company uses to communicate with the people it hires aren't the best. 2. The company uses Discord for most of its communitcation with the freelancers & while I had no major issues with this, there are better alternatives that are a bit more professional. 3. Going on with the theme of terrible communication, the company locked its own subreddit where people could openly ask each other questions relating to working for Mindrift like project availability & more. The main role of this subreddit was for people working on Mindrift to ask each other questions & gain clarity from each other as the responses given by Mindrift themselves were all generic responses that never really helped in any way. 4. The pay & how they calculate it doesn't really reflect what they say in their job listings. While it may be sufficient for some folks living in certain parts of the world, I saw people living in developed countries who were working at Mindrift complain that the wages were extremely low by their usual standards of living(in developed countries). 5. Another con & probably one of the more egregious ones was the fact that this company was always hiring even when there was no work on their platform. Guys that were already hired would be asking when the next batch of work would be coming in after a long period of no work being available & you'd see numerous listings for open jobs at Mindrift being advertised on various job listing sites.
