      Pluspunten

      Relaxed, healthy culture among employees. Organized use of Slack for both social and work purposes, keeping a hybrid of synchronous and asynchronous open communication among employees working on different products/projects, and also keeping things light and social building a good social community among workers in the offices and remote.

      Minpunten

      Not as much on-boarding guidance or direction as I'd like. Needed to be very much a self starter and open to asking questions in order to get comfortable on the multiple projects. Fortunately the healthy use of Slack, and development documentation helps in that regard.

      * Small environment makes it easy to cultivate personal relationships and mentors * Summer interns are incorporated into the software development team and get to do real work on a variety of projects from embedded systems to full-stack development to mobile apps

      It would have been nice to have more social events

      - Great team of developers with a wide range of experience - Flat and transparent company structure, easy to get involved with different tasks - Relaxed environment and lenient with working from home, as most work and conversation is done over Slack - Open and flexible offices with room to grow - Solid benefits

      Minpunten

      - The company is split between Louisville and DC, with many people working remotely or often from home. While the option is great, it can limit company culture.
