Benefits are great! Insurance is great and paid holidays are wonderful!

Hourly pay stinks, especially now when I can walk to McDonalds & get $6 an hour more and work whatever hour I choose. Winter closed days stink when staff still has to report- if roads are too bad for buses, schools, transit & parents to be driving then they are too bad for staff to be driving their children to childcare to get to work!!!

Good benefits, stable job, no pressure.

Poor management, no promotion potential, union is terrible -- no step raises, only what small percentage they agree upon with management. Sad, but true, government jobs are not what they should be, they breed lazy people and drive career-motivated people either to be the same or leave.
