MyVA.Rocks was a light during my period of unemployment. Ashley and the leadership team have curated a friendly, warm, flexible and effective work culture. I always feel heard and cared for in this environment. I REALLY appreciate that MyVA.Rocks allows you to work on what YOU want to work on, whether that's based on the experience you have or the skills you desire. This has allowed me to work with clients that are right in line with what I want to do; and if I don't feel like I'm the best fit for a client, the company hears that and looks to other VAs that might be more aligned. Not to mention, leadership is always open to feedback. Also, you can work another job while working with MyVA Rocks. It's very manageable! It's particularly a great company to work for as a stepping stone or landing point in your career. As someone who is pretty opinionated, I really do praise MyVA.Rocks. They talk the talk and walk the walk.

My cons are highly subjective, so please keep that in mind. The $20/hour rate is competitive, but it's fixed––meaning that the value of your wage will ultimately depend on where you live (i.e. how far can $20/hour go in the suburbs vs a city). Something to keep in mind when considering how the job and pay fit into your life. On a similar note, if you have high-paying skills (i.e. project management) then the ROI might not be in your favor if your goal is money. But! MyVA Rocks is flexible and will never force you to do work you don't want to do. Really, just make sure you're clear about what your goal is with the income from MyVA Rocks. Personally, it was less about the amount of money I was making because I really just needed a stream of consistent income.
