A fundamental aspect that set's NIO apart from most other autonomous driving groups is that there is an actual car and a notion of what will ultimately be usable on the road. These serve as guiding principles to everything that is developed by the different groups inside NIO. At the same time, the culture is open and accepting to new ideas, offers the freedom to innovate, and to develop and integrate the latest ideas into the autonomous driving stack. Employees are well-compensated given the expectations of the Bay Area.

Autonomous driving is a hard problem and the company needs to hire up significantly in order to avoid overloading and burning out employees.

Pluspunten

When i started at NIO 3yrs ago, My first few months i wanted to leave! only because i was not use to reporting to an individual that i had more experience and knowledge than for my position, Shortly after this person was let go, i was able to run my department the way it should be ran. Other than that, NIO is a great place, with great minds. NIO is a great place to work! Our cars are fabulous!!
