There are some terrific people who care about each other and about doing the right things, the right way. The organization is growing at a clip that far outpaces the industry, and it has a portfolio of long-standing customers. Some cross functional committees have formed, and that seems to be improving overall communications. A few new perks like flex time, jeans days, and social/culture activities have improved morale. A company-match 401k is also a nice benefit that many companies do not offer today.
Minpunten
Senior leadership has “favorites”, and everyone else has to work really hard just to have a voice. Leadership touts promoting from within, however, that really only applies to the entry level positions. In nearly a decade, there have been only a handful of promotions for supervisors and middle managers, and for many, there is no defined career path or professional development program at all. The infrastructure and resources have not kept pace with the growth of the company - stress, workload, manual processes and slow adoption of new ideas are significant challenges. The healthcare benefits need a complete overhaul - reference based pricing has been a very frustrating experience.
