Nextech is centered around serving healthcare specialties with cutting edge software solutions that promote their ability to provide excellent patient care. All portions of the experience from Development, Sales, Regulatory, Implementation, and Support, to long-term Account Management are captured in-house, making the communication between departments more efficient. My favorite parts of the organization boil down to two areas: Growth opportunities and people. The growth that this company has experienced during my tenure has been amazing to watch, both from the business perspective and the opportunity to grow careers. The leadership team has a very coach-forward approach, looking for opportunities to promote team members into roles that best fit their career goals and skillsets. In addition, the team members I interact with across many departments are all highly skilled and compassionate, many having at least some experience working in the industry we serve. Notably in the Product Management, Consulting, and Implementation departments, that "real-world" experience allows team members to achieve a high level of understanding and empathy for the clients they serve. Lastly, the People & Culture team make a significant effort to provide incredible support. Between yearly DE&I & Leadership training, fostering Employee Belonging Groups, and organizing multiple volunteering events, they truly help create a culture at Nextech that embodies the company values. The icing on the cake for me personally is that my career at Nextech has been the perfect blend of my passions: education, healthcare, and serving people.

Minpunten

As in any company, many departments feels they do things the "right way" and therefore, other must not. To Nextech's credit, many leaders work together to improve efforts globally and continue to work on this through cross-functional initiatives and companywide focus.

Amazing culture throughout the org. Benefits are amazing and HR actually listens to the employees and try to make changes.

Healthcare cost has increased year over year but company is trying to level that out by making some larger changes.

Remote work and pet insurance were the most valuable benefits during my time there.

Leadership and internal communication could be improved. Opportunities for advancement did not feel equitable or accessible, and there appeared to be limited diversity within the organization, particularly in accounting and finance. Career growth pathways were unclear, and decisions around promotions and development often seemed based on preference rather than performance or readiness. Compensation transparency was also an area of concern, and conversations around salary or role clarity were sometimes met with dismissiveness rather than support. When my position was eliminated, there was no discussion about internal transfer or professional development options, despite open roles shortly after. Additionally, feedback mechanisms did not always feel anonymous or actionable, which made it difficult for employees to express concerns openly. Overall, I believe there is room for improvement in creating a supportive, inclusive environment with clear career mobility and transparent communication without retaliation.
