Pluspunten

The claims platform was overwhelming at first, but once learned, it was easy to navigate. Pay was decent, but not reflective of the unrealistic expectations and multiple roles adjusters were forced to take on. Benefits were mediocre. When I was hired, the company was switching insurance carriers. Despite being told multiple times by HR that I had enrolled correctly, I later found out I hadn’t and temporarily lost coverage. I was able to fix it because I was still within my 90-day window, but a colleague wasn’t as fortunate and went without health insurance for a year. The company also doesn’t contribute to your 401(k) until you’ve been there for a full year.

My time at this company was marked by poor leadership, lack of accountability, and an increasingly toxic work culture. Management is cliquish and retaliatory, if you disagree with them or try to offer constructive feedback (even when they're clearly in the wrong), they hold it against you and look for opportunities to push you out. Rather than taking responsibility for systemic issues, they consistently shift blame to adjusters. Leadership receives little to no management training, which shows in their behavior. They demand blind loyalty, regularly speak down to employees, and create an environment where you’re made to feel disposable. It’s clear many in management believe they’re above their team rather than leading it. The company also shows a serious disregard for Department of Insurance (DOI) laws. Adjusters are frequently pressured to handle claims in states they’re not licensed in—or even in other countries—despite the legal risks. Adjusters are expected to wear multiple hats, taking on the roles of entire departments without adequate support. The workload is excessive and often includes disorganized or unnecessary tasks created without strategy or purpose. In a sign of the company’s instability, there were multiple rounds of layoffs. The first round of employees received severance packages, while the second round, including myself, received nothing. Management is clearly running the company into the ground; they are hemorrhaging clients, and their reputation has deteriorated to the point where very few want to work with them. They also introduced a bonus structure, but it has only been paid out once in three cycles, with the other two denied due to the company’s declining profitability. I would strongly advise job seekers to look elsewhere. This is not a healthy, compliant, or sustainable place to work.

Additionally, we take employee benefits seriously. Any issues related to enrollment are addressed immediately through our dedicated HR team. Our 401(k) policies and contribution timelines are communicated clearly during onboarding and are in line with industry standards. We recognize that not every experience will be perfect, but isolated incidents or misinformation—especially those stemming from individual frustration—do not reflect the organization as a whole. Team collaboration with plenty of opportunities for advancement. Great benefits and employee recognition

The only negative is the occasional temporary business downturns.

Pluspunten

NARS provides a good workplace. The systems are good and work well. The pay is fair and The CEO is an excellent man who does care about his company.

Minpunten

Bad senior management Vice Presidents are power hungry and do not know how to treat employees. They lose more employees because of their actions. Some individuals allowed clients who are in runoff (leaving) do just that to their employees. NARS lost to many accounts not due to staff but because they allowed them to run the show. Business decisions should be made on what’s best for our clients, employees and claimants. Stand up and do what is best for the company not one man’s ego.
