Really do value what the business is trying to do with its mortgage proposition to support people to own their own home Most colleagues are fantastic, will do what they can to help each other out and keep each other going in what has been a difficult 12 months
Minpunten
There appears to have been a huge shift in the last 12 months where colleagues are no longer valued on what they can bring to the business and how well they are performing. Instead everything seems to be about bringing in new very expensive hires whilst the existing colleagues ‘doing the do’ are over worked, burned out and often back doored or removed from the business as part of unthought through and rash restructures. This then leaves the business unsupported and feeling very unsettled. There’s very much a feeling of ‘is it my turn next’ . The company suggests it values feedback however feedback such as engagement surveys is often ignored meaning it feels like colleagues are not listened to or valued and you are seen as a ‘troublemaker’ for giving feedback. There’s a culture of everything needing to be done now which adds to the burn out, senior management and exec also regularly pivot on requests needed for exco packs and reporting leading to those ‘doing the do’ not sure what they are doing from one minute to the next. It’s become very toxic and a ‘if your face fits’ culture. Unrealistic workloads are the norm and the once really valued work life balance is getting harder and harder to sustain.
