Unrealistic expectations, all while “reducing costs” (cutting wages) Trying to overachieve without looking after team effectively. Everyday, without fail, something doesn’t work. Whether it’s an app, or a printer needed to do customer jobs, or the store network - something breaks daily. Have developed a new head office location, with all the bells and whistles that they love to brag about everything to the “wonderfull” carpet colour - while some stores have a single toilet unisex toilet, which is expected to be used by customers AND team. It’s insulting and unthoughtful. Most store visits from head office are typically not a lot more than a photo opportunity, general manager being the worst example. Typically KPIs rotate in a flavour of the month model. One giant intense focus for a period, then not heard about for months. Zero consistency. Spend millions obtaining a new business, which is failing, but push that back on team. (G2U)
