Pluspunten

Some people are fun to be around.

Minpunten

Terrible management. Belittling, rude, disrespectful and aggressive boss. Constant put downs, patronising and infantilising comments, negative assumptions, bias, judgements, generalisations, backlash and false accusations from the manager. No recognition for hard work or work delivered. Constant blaming and shifting of the goal posts so no matter what you do, nothing you do is ever enough. And if you dare to stand up for yourself, defend or explain yourself, provide feedback or have an opinion - you will receive retaliation, shaming and backlash. All in all, I experienced pure toxicity and viciousness from an insecure, workaholic, authoritarian leader who seems unable to lead and manage people positively and effectively, and seems unable to recognise when people are trying their best. Also, lack of respect for work-life balance and lack of communication and transparency. Deceitful and dishonest. I think it's important to work for a manager who's positive, honest and transparent, and is willing to see me thrive, flourish and succeed - but I didn't get that unfortunately, which is very disappointing.

Pluspunten

Pros: Flexible schedule and full control over workload and content creation. Strong earning potential based on consistency and audience engagement. Opportunities to build personal branding, marketing skills, and direct relationships with subscribers while working independently.

Minpunten

Income can be inconsistent and staying visible on the platform requires constant engagement. Long filming and editing sessions mean lots of sitting and screen time, so hydration and “cranberry juice becoming a lifestyle choice” starts to feel less like a joke and more like preventive maintenance. Boundaries and burnout management are important for long-term sustainability.
