You can find a good atmosphere and great people here, wide opportunities for self-development, work on interesting projects, flexible working hours or a good division of work-life balance. In short, you can really get into a team here, where you will feel friendship and support, so you will not have to worry about too much stress in your life.
Minpunten
There is no such thing as a perfect company, and any reasonable person should know that. Every company has its flaws, some small, that don't really affect the employee, and Opera has a special knack for having flaws that will effectively poison your mental health. The advantages I listed are very real - unfortunately they depend only and exclusively on the department and project you end up in. Every former and current employee probably knows what I'm getting at - the Polish branch of Opera. The work of many great people, both at the lowest levels and in managerial/senior management positions, is overshadowed by the incompetence and cronyism of some departments - and especially (surprise) the Polish HR branch. Don't count on any help related to work or private life. Please imagine the most senseless activity you can do - I guarantee that asking HR for help is much more senseless. Compassion or protection of sensitive data are unfamiliar words to them, your difficult situation will be food for them during their daily coffee, which lasts as long as a part-time job in this company. Almost every Polish employee knows about all this, but no consequences have ever been drawn. Incomprehensible decisions regarding the development of projects and technologies, business, lack of professionalism, micromanagement, lack of respect for your opinion or being just a bank number for senior managers - you can find all this and much more here. You can be an important part of your department and the next day get terminated because someone higher up doesn't really like you but gets along well with the rest of the management. This is a really cool company with huge potential, but getting accepted here is like a wheel of fortune - you will end up in a great team or end up with mental problems. I got lucky, but I can't be blind to the problems of others.
