Reactie van Optimy
4yDear Ms,
We regret the underlying deception that motivated your feedback.
This is a personal attack that didn’t only injure the CEO but also team members who found it unfair. It’s a pity that you didn’t share your feelings with him.
All our comments on Glassdoor come from real employees and trainees who shared their experience in a transparent way. Some comments also come from past employees.
At Optimy, there are women in the management team. Most managers are mothers or fathers who take care of their kids. Some of them are even lonely parents who need more flexibility. There are more and more pregnant women (as the team is getting older), without any impact on their career and growth path. In your specific situation, it was a management (not CEO decision) to not promote you in a management role, based on facts.
It’s true that we have had a rotation of HR leads. This is why we have now splitted the role into 2 topics (hard and soft HR) to better balance the amount of work and make sure we can hire people who better fit each role.
The management team has been in place for many years. They have definitely an intensive role in a scale-up. We are attentive that they don’t burn themselves.
In the whole history of Optimy we faced 2 burn-outs, linked more to the COVID context than Optimy. One of them is still active at Optimy and is growing in a new role. The other one went for another venture.
It’s correct that in 2021 we faced a too big churn rate. It was a real shame. Maybe the quality of recruitment was not optimal at that time ? Since then, we have stabilized the situation and the churn dropped.
Yes, we continue to grow with more and more great talents. We grew by 20% again since the beginning of 2022 with new roles.
Sales is indeed an intensive job as it is a numbers game, with some pressure. Our quotas and KPI’s are based on the market standards and we are always very clear on what to expect during interviews. This kind of role doesn’t fit some personalities and it is a strong excitement for others.
In a high demand of employees market, you can’t attract talents if you don’t offer a competitive package. At Optimy, we offer many advantages (bonus, net fee, insurance, fruits, training, volunteering days, etc.) on top of the fixed wage. Actually, we still apply the wage grid that you advised us to use.The one for which the CEO challenged you to ensure it’s aligned with the market.
Optimy exists for 11 years. 70 employees. Trainees. Which explains the +100 reviews.
Optimy CEO is certainly focused on results. But he also cares about people, more and more.
We wish you good luck with your future venture.
Best,
HR Team
