      It's the financial industry so a possible entry point into the industry if that is what you are looking for.

      Culture of fear and sexual harassment. It seems that both optionshouse and trademonster had decent cultures going into the merger but with the new management it's turned into a non-productive environment where CYA is the name of the game. I've literally seen the CIO pat a girl on the butt and tell her 'good job baby'. Will be shocked if this management team can hit the goals laid out by the investors. Oh and generally trying convince retail traders that they can make $$ trading options is disingenuous to being with. No one makes money here other than the brokerage on commissions.

      Thank you for bringing this to our attention. While any merger presents challenges to the resulting culture, what you describe is unacceptable. We have absolutely zero tolerance harassment of any kind in our office. As such, we take such allegations very seriously and react to them swiftly and appropriately when they are raised. If any employee is harassed we encourage them to come to Human Resources or their Manager so we can properly handle the situation. If an employee is not comfortable going to HR or their Manager, we also have an anonymous email system in place so employees can confidentially make suggestions or report anything. Please contact our Human Resources team if you would like to discuss any concerns, as we do take these allegations seriously. The period following the merger was difficult on both companies and all new leadership. We are applying the lessons we learned from it and are committed to ongoing enhancements.       The location is great: the building and facilities are hip and cool. Being a merger of two smaller online retail trading companies who have solid plans to grow substantially, they are investing a lot in people and technology. There is a palpable feeling of being on the ground floor of something new that could be big. There is new leadership added to ensure a clean growth from start-up to enterprise that has really solidified over the last few months providing an exciting vision of business and technology working closely together to go to the cloud and modernize the platform that was good for its time, but now is ripe to exploit new technology. Chicago is the Fintech incubator and this is the right place if you want in that space.

      Minpunten

      As in every organization, there is still some who pine for the glory days of either old TradeMonster or Peak6. Everyone tries to be understanding, but sometimes it gets in the way of moving forward. Though the vast majority have embraced the new company and strategy. Some of the technology is a little dated and startupy (lots of open source), but it’s getting better.
