Projects suffer from poor planning and execution, leaving project managers to clean up messes that could have been avoided with thorough pre-sale discussions. Hopefully, this issue has been addressed, as it was a major headache for many PMs. Meeting KPIs becomes challenging when sales and engineering fail to accurately estimate labor hours, create precise bill of materials, or, in some cases, deploy untested technology in the field. ICOs and CCOs demand constant attention throughout the project lifecycle, often having a negative impact on the customer's perception of the company's competence.
