Minpunten
I've grown increasingly concerned about the trajectory of our technology team since the introduction of the new CTO. Our department, once a beacon of innovation and inclusivity, now appears mired in bureaucratic red tape. The intense focus on metrics like number of commits and exhaustive time-tracking (allegedly for SRED purposes) feels both stifling and unnecessary. It's particularly disheartening to see the frequent parroting of phrases like "Nail It, then Scale it" without a clear plan for implementation. Such ambiguity has left many of us feeling directionless. More troubling is the noticeable loss of top talent in recent months. A sentiment that is not unwarranted when our project management team seems to be missing the mark. Their over-reliance on superficial metrics, devoid of meaningful context, feels misguided at best. A comprehensive training in project management feels not just necessary, but urgent. Immediate action is needed if we hope to reverse this trend, recapture our previous standards, and prevent further loss of valuable team members. Given these circumstances, I would caution prospective employees to think long and hard before joining. Until there's a significant shift in direction and leadership, it might be best to consider other opportunities.
