Pluspunten
Sadly, there is very little to commend Patni Computer Systems as a place to both enjoy one's work and advance one's career accordingly. There are many excellent people in Patni - their camaraderie is the main reason people stick around. The potential is there - but the attrition of excellent talent leaving of their own freewill speaks volumes.
Minpunten
Patni is an organization in a tailspin. The delivery organization for one of the icons of the outsourcing/global sourcing business is woefully inefficient, internal company politics extreme and the manner in which employees are treated is appalling. I cannot think of another organization in the same genre and size which makes it so difficult to even get the basics right - let alone people procedures to make employees feel valued and perform to the best of their ability. In some ways you might say Patni has lost its way which is being kind. There are so many barriers which prevent an employee from effectively doing their job - from an appalling centralized and misconceived travel policy. a delivery organization which is error-prone to a laborious and over-engineered expenses policy and program which causes angst to many.
