Some good, dedicated people. Salaries in market. New ownership, which will hopefully translate into meaningful change for the employees.

Where to begin.... I'd say during my tenure the biggest issues were nepotism, executives who lacked actual leadership skills, rewarding useless people while hard working employees went without bonuses, giving people promtions they didnt earn, and a culture that lacked accountability. Then there was the lack of investment in training and developing staff and providing a career path. This place could have been good but there was no desire from "leadership" to listen to what HR was advising. They preferred to see HR as administrative rather than a business partner. And unfortunately, having the head of HR be replaced by someone who was neither an HR professional nor strategic, didn't help our case. Im convinced it was a matter of intimidation. Lot of mediocre people who thought they were special weren't happy to be told otherwise. Handful of executives that were severely overpaid and added the least value to the org but managed to keep their jobs because they were yes people. There was the non-strategic strategist, the marketer who "didn't do social media" or much of anything quite frankly, the prima donna who thought Corp Ops were there to serve here, etc. No diversity on the exec team or in mgt. This place was like stepping back into 1990.
