We’re pleased to hear that you found most of your colleagues friendly and that you saw genuine opportunities for progression within the company. That remains one of our ongoing priorities: to provide an environment where employees can grow and thrive. However, we disagree with several characterisations made in your review. Describing our processes and leadership as “a shambles” and “unprofessional” does not reflect the standards we uphold at PayStream today. In recent years, we have undertaken significant initiatives to modernise our systems, improve internal communications, and invest in training for both staff and management, having recently being named a Best Workplace for Development by Great Place to Work. In addition to a generous learning and development budget, we have this year supported employees who wish to pursue a long-term career outside their current level of expertise, including accounting and HR financial qualification support for those within our Customer Care team. While change is always a journey, these steps are making a tangible impact—and we continue to welcome constructive feedback from our current team to build further. This is why we are especially disappointed by some of the more personal and derogatory remarks made in your review. At PayStream, we strive to foster a respectful and inclusive environment. If issues of professionalism or favouritism were present during your time, we regret that you did not feel comfortable raising them through the appropriate internal channels, where they would have been taken seriously. Change comes from a willingness to learn and try; we can’t make those changes if we don’t know. Regarding concerns about salaries and benefits, we benchmark our compensation packages regularly against market standards. We consistently promote internally, and the increases are considerably more than £500. There are clearly defined objectives for promotion in the Compliance Department. We do get that compensation is just one part of the employment experience. This is why we’re committed to recognising and rewarding contributions in meaningful ways—both financial and culturally. We strive hard to complement our employees’ journey and build a positive culture for example, • by providing generous team budgets to build connection and friendships in out of work activities, • fully financing an all-employee summer and Christmas social • inter year activities to build culture, health and personal responsibility for success • supporting our employees fundraising activities for the causes that matter to them • enhanced financial support for our staff including for family policies, bereavement and private counselling While your time with PayStream was not a positive chapter for you, we sincerely wish you the best in your future career and finding a workplace that is better for you.
