Pluspunten
The people (depending on your team) can be great. I was staffed on a team that was known for hanging out, mentoring, and supporting one another. We get along great.
Minpunten
The company has been going downhill from a workers perspective for a while now. Small things like Hybrid -> In Person, new guidelines on what you can/can't wear to the office, but also big things like getting rid of promotion guidelines and performance tracking altogether. There used to be a rigid system that gave some clarity on how your performance was every month, and based on that performance, you would automatically be eligible for a promotion based on your pace. This was a huge plus for the company in my eyes originally. They did away with that a year ago, and also laid off much of the staff like testers, project managers, and product managers, that made it so developers could focus on writing code. Since then, developers were expected to take on the roles of all of these lost positions, and essentially the job devolved into something nobody signed up for. The pace slowed down, and code frequently got pushed to future deadlines because of reasons out of our control (no available testers usually being one of them). It seems that whoever is at the top of these decisions doesn't have a good sense of what is going on at the workers level.
