I am not disgruntled, but I am writing this because I wish I had honest feedback before joining. I evaluated long and hard before coming to Paycom. In the end, I made the mistake of chasing the money (or the potential to make big money). I had other great options but was blinded. I had success in previous sales roles at other companies and wanted to continue making big money. For me, paycom was absolutely toxic. You will be treated like a child, and will not be trusted for a second. Inexperienced management AND regional management will hinder your success. All paycom cares about is paycom. It blows my mind how the Glassdoor reviews are so high. The actual product is pretty good. The issue is all internal, and it starts from the top. I’ve been micromanaged before, but this is a whole new level. Metrics are virtually unachievable. The strategy from what I gather is holding as much leverage against you as possible so you can be let go at any time, for any number of reason. Don’t expect a stable job here. You truly will have to sell your soul to have success here. In the end, I left because life is too short to be demoralized. I would never recommend this company to anyone I remotely cared about. Understand that the management and people recruiting you are salespeople. Don’t get sold unless you truly understand what you’re diving into.
