There are many wonderful people who work at PVI who are extremely intelligent and driven. If micro management was not so rampant, more people would have the ability to thrive. The educational content is high quality and well regarded in the community. But behind the scenes, employees are working tirelessly with little positive recognition or gratitude.
Minpunten
The culture is not a positive encouraging environment. Many of those in business development and leadership roles all the way to the top treat those in other departments like children, including cursing at employees who are all working extremely hard and rarely receive recognition. The level of micromanagement is beyond anything I had experienced prior. The way the company and interviewers described the culture during the hiring process is a stark contract from reality. Few people truly have autonomy in their positions and that includes many senior level positions. My advice to someone looking to work here - ask the tough questions in your interviews and document everything . Do not allow your manager to make verbal agreements only- get everything in writing. They are doing the same, cover your bases. This is not a singular opinion-many colleagues feel this way and don't feel like they can speak up because the issues start at the top and trickle down.
