- Great managers that care- I have not had a manager yet that I would not highly recommend and stay in touch with after changing roles. Managers are asked to focus on employee growth and development, that are urged to coach and work on employee's strength. Just from my team last year I gladly helped several employees move into new roles, as well as being joined as a next step. Managers understand that it is in favour of the company to facilitate growth, the desire to move into different roles- no-one will block this and managers do what they can to help- eg. by working on your skills required to be able to move into a desired role I have personally taken advantage of this several times already with different products/brands within Perforce. - Company culture is a major focus- working with colleagues from all over the world is fun. Just in my team I work with Estonia, Bulgaria, India, Israel, US, UK, Germany... - Stable company with able leadership steering through rough waters. During Covid & Ukraine conflict with subsequent economic turmoil- everyone I know was more than glad to be with Perforce knowing leadership saw the signs ahead of time and adjusted. - Super interesting products!!! Perforce has many brands in the dev-ops space that. - Hybrid & remote work. While the offices are great, and allow to work together or socialize over table tennis or Wednesday office lunch, working for Perforce is mega flexible, making for a nice work-life balance, eg. picking up the kids in the afternoon or an unforeseen appointment is no problem at all- team mates and managers are usually very understanding. Last example is the Israel conflict- with management looking proactively for ways to help employees there. - Great perks like an additional week off for christmas, Shorter working week during the summer with weekly 1/2 day off !

Minpunten

- one gets used to the flexibility... making life after Perforce harder - Post-Covid with many team mates in other regions. Often teams are global, allowing you only to work virtually over Zoom with many colleagues. While everyone does their best to build connections over video, it would be great to meet more often in person again.

Cons: Like any organization, processes can sometimes evolve and require adjustment, but leadership is open to feedback and continuous improvement.

I used to call this the best job I ever had, because I was well paid (for my title) and I felt like I was trusted to try new things for the first year or two. Unlimited time off is nice, but necessary for managing the constant stress. I wish I'd used a lot more of it. Free snacks are great and company outings can be nice. They keep acquiring companies, so working for such a big company can be a nice resume booster.

Roles are poorly defined and the organization "runs lean," which means responsibilities keep growing until you're really underpaid for the work you do. Same for your coworkers. Instead of clear responsibilities, everyone kind of does everything until everything’s done. The amount of work ranges from 'a full plate' to just crushing. Bullies and bad actors thrive because they're encouraged to squeeze the people below them for more and more work. Some managers would be happiest with a small army of AI robots to do their bidding instead of people with goals and ideas. The disrespect ranges from the professional to the personal, but it's all ignored at the leadership level. Promotions are rare and raises do not keep pace with inflation. Department leadership is constantly reacting to the fancies of their bosses, rather than standing up for their teams, so people at the middle and bottom always have to scramble to keep up with unreasonable expectations.

I'm glad you were able to enjoy the culture at our Minneapolis location. It is truly a fun environment with team and company outings, happy hour on Thursday's, social activities, a fun area with ping pong, video games, a golf simulator and much, much more. And you can't forget about the free snacks and community lunch provided to the entire location on Wednesdays. We work hard to make sure we offer competitive pay and benefits.
