      Extremely supportive and accepting in-store coworkers Plenty of excellent and truly one of a kind products I'm proud to be able to sell as alternatives to low quality supermarket stock A commitment to recycling and sustainability that, even if not perfect, is still miles above many other employers Frequent classroom training from real experts, delivered in a non-judgemental environment Get to meet plenty of really interesting people, not just from within the company but the customers too

      The rules for earning commission change every few months - just as stores figure out how to utilise the new system efficiently it gets whisked away and replaced with something else and usually worse A retail assistant will never, ever, be paid more than the National Living Wage and shop managers barely earn pennies more regardless of years of service Very rarely given any kind of advanced warning if new products are arriving or if changes have to be made to how things are sold, giving the impression it's all decided on a whim by people who haven't actually worked on the shop floor in the past two decades if ever
