Phase2 has a strong leadership team with a clear vision for the company, about which they communicate authentically and transparently. They really care about each individual employee and they treat each person with warmth and respect. I felt like a valued member of a team every day, and I was never treated like a cog in a wheel like many other agencies unfortunately do.
Even with a lot of levels of hierarchy, every leader all the way up the chain kept an open door for thoughts, ideas, and feedback from anyone at any level of the company. Phase2 is always looking to do the right thing, and they don't play mind games with employees or with clients. They also have a fantastic employee culture that really prioritizes real human relationships.
Phase2 also put serious effort into easing the biggest pain points of working in an agency environment, including time tracking, utilization and billability, context-switching across multiple projects, work/life balance, managing client expectations when dealing with short timelines and small budgets, etc. They really cared about retaining good talent and making Phase2 a fantastic place to work.
Minpunten
They made a strategic pivot in the Spring to focus specifically on health & wellness clientele, which ruffled some feathers since these types of projects were widely considered the most challenging to work on. In addition, the pivot felt like it was executed too quickly because the sales cycles within the healthcare industry are much longer than others, which resulted in a substantial slow-down in business and ultimately a round of unexpected layoffs.
