Pluspunten
Some really talented individuals are the few bright spots in the company. The disorganized nature/structure gives one the unintentional silver lining of being able to learn a lot if you're willing to reach out and push yourself. Pay is also decent if you're able to work your way in and up.
Minpunten
The longer you are in the studio, the more you realize just how much it sees you as despensible components. They'll try to cut costs to the detriment of employees whether it be compensation or tools, but throw money at completely directionless and disorganized ventures. They would constantly posture as being an employee centric studio- but really it's only centric to the chosen few at the top of the totem pole. If you require further proof on how little they care, they are one of the few companies to push in-studio work in the middle of the pandemic (as early as Summer 2020 at the height of it). They'd tote good pandemic regulations- but it's constantly ignored and implemented at bare minimum. When a neighboring studio got a COVID case they simply shrugged it off and hoped no one noticed. They'll say they're proud of being the among the first to "responsibly" go back to studio when in reality they're just absurdly lucky because it could have been much worse. And there were for sure several close calls. They care even far less to their customers, with greedy decisions for monetization constantly designed to milk users for as much as possible. If you can break down one monetized asset to several monetized aspects- even better. And any of these would be somewhat salvagabel ahd there been some form of open communication with management and leaders. But really it's a lot of tamping down on "problem" employees or issues, and creating an almost self disillusioned dome around them that everything is perfect. Cuz if anyone else has a problem- their reasoning is likely that those people are the problem. There used to be a time they'd boast having very little turnover. I can assure you that isn't the case anymore- with people leaving in droves (whether pushed out or for their own sanity). Many potential hires have balked because of the reputation that's spreading about the studio. At this point, Phoenix Labs is well on its way to alienating half of the industry hires.
