Working at PickTrace was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in my career. Leadership was present, opportunities to learn and grow were always at my fingertips. I got to work with some of the most talented individuals who just happen to also be some of the most kind people I've met. PickTrace's culture and community of people are supportive and engaging. Leadership listens and is quick to act to ensure that everyone in the organization feels valued. The agriculture space is ripe (pun intended) for disruption, and PickTrace is at the forefront of that effort.

Like other companies of this size in their current stage of growth, there's often a bias for action. Not to say I didn't see improvements in this during my time there, and it wasn't always a negative - but it can be a con when you consider its impact on "designing the right thing".

The PickTrace team is stacked with hard-working, super smart, talented, and fun individuals who all make our work environment enjoyable (ping pong tournaments, donut Wednesdays, and team lunches are just a few highlights!). In addition, the co-founders are awesome -- they grew up on a farm themselves and know the industry, language, and technological needs of our customers better than anyone. Their energy and dedication to PickTrace's mission and employees is contagious. The product itself is also providing a "need-to-have" modern solution to farms and fundamentally changing the ag industry, saving a ton of time, resources, and money. Finally, more than anywhere else I have ever worked, PickTrace has given me the opportunity to work autonomously and create processes/procedures from scratch, which keeps me challenged and engaged.

If you haven't worked in agriculture before (like myself), there's a bit of a learning curve to picking up the lingo and needs of our clients, but that can be said for any new industry you're entering.
