Pluspunten

Smart leadership team. Smart team in general who are great to work with, the hiring bar is high and it's reassuring to know you're with the best. Good flexibility - unlimited holidays and managers treat you like adults to work as you need. Fully remote with options to co-work occasionally which suits a flexible schedule. Expectations are high but you're never asked to do something that SLT wouldn't do themselves. L&D budget for your own learning, not for what Pinpoint wants you to learn, is a genuine plus. Leadership are transparent about the journey which is refreshing. Heavy emphasis on career development and building your CV for the future.

Minpunten

You need to be a self starter, which does mean it's harder to be 'junior' at Pinpoint. Could have more emphasis on the People & Culture side of the business - socials and cross-team collaboration is harder as a remote team.

Pluspunten

You're surrounded by really smart people who continuously challenge you, and if you're self-driven and curious you can make a real impact quickly. You're given the autonomy to get your work done your way, with flexibility in how and when you work as long as you deliver. I can't speak for other parts of the organization but CS US leadership is extremely flexible and supportive. Coworkers across orgs have each other's backs. Its definitely a lot of work, but its challenging and, IMO, kinda fun. The pay and benefits are great. If you've worked at a start up before, and you liked that kind of environment, Pinpoint might be a good spot for you.

Minpunten

The workload can be daunting and 40-hour weeks aren't always the reality, but once you learn the product, finding your rhythm becomes a lot easier. Many internal processes aren't clearly defined, but in my opinion that's not necessarily a bad thing; if you have an idea on how to improve a process and speak up, people will listen. The team is lean and some functions sit entirely in the UK, so the time zone/holiday difference can occasionally get in the way of delivering exceptional support experiences to US-based clients.

Pluspunten

I really like working for the leadership team at Pinpoint. They genuinely care about their employees and show that consistently, even during the interview process. This is what attracted me to Pinpoint in the first place. They have a great culture of support and are constantly striving to make things better. Some teams are in their infancy and are figuring out processes as we go. However, I've been really impressed by the support from leadership here.

Minpunten

Given the remote nature of all of the roles, some teams can be siloed unless employees and leadership are intentional in keeping lines of communication open. This is not necessarily a con, but if you are not used to a fully remote culture within a start-up type environment where things change constantly, this may not be the place for you. If you find that you strive in environments where everyone takes ownership and has a part to play, this company would be for you!
