Pluspunten
-The people I worked with were all incredibly lovely - It was rewarding to know you had helped someone find what they were looking for after helping a customer -Newly refurbished staff facilities were of a really high standard
Minpunten
- Management was awful - never around, only came down to the shop floor to complain, never practised what they preached -HR team cornered me and pressured me into working hours I stated weeks in advance that I couldn't do - Pressured me to put working at Primark over my education - Misleading contract stating weekend employees can be asked to work bank holidays yet I was forced under the pretence of 'breaching my contract' and stating that my job would be at risk - on my first day too! - Weekend employees are basically used to be full-time employees with less benefits than full-time -No thought or consideration is given to the retail operatives; we were treated like dogs -You're expected to do an hours worth of work in 10 minutes - Bolster staff informed me that the only way to work through the ranks was to either sleep or be best friends with higher level staff -No employee discount I resigned after only a few shifts; I will not be forced into doing something I said I could not do, nor will I abide to made-up clauses in my contract, or loopholes. A terrible company with terrible values, despite what they may say about themselves. Primark is the worst employer around.
