If they stuck with the original permanent offer of 50k, I wouldn't have went looking for another job. I think the company should not cheap out for those 3 months and just hire the right guy with the right credentials in the first place. I hope the company will learn from this experience because I don't want the company to waste their time and the time of the applicants. I think the CFO mixes his emotions with his work and it can come off an unprofessional.
