Pluspunten

Benefits include 401k, Dental, Vision, and Medical insurances. Decent base pay and remote work from home. They give you plenty of PTO right off the bat. During Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) there are many receptive leads and you can make decent money in the month of November.

Minpunten

No renewal commissions, so you are not building anything and you have to start over from scratch every month . Really deceptive advertising, so you get pounded with crappy leads all day (except for Annual Enrollment Period). They hold your feet to the fire with conversion rates that few accomplish or they reduce your call volume and you get even worse quality leads (Which happens very quickly making it even harder to convert/make money and creates a downward spiral that is hard to get out of). They keep 25% of your commissions right off the bat and you have to keep a conversion rate over 80% percentage for 3 consecutive months to get the additional 25% (Full commission). In my sales group of 70+ agents less than 6% got the 25%/full commission that is withheld. Most agents burn out or are driven out b/c of the commission structure, which again is tailored to a chosen few who are willing to work a lot of overtime to make decent money and get the preferential leads. To be able to work overtime you need to have a high conversion rate or it will most likely be denied, so it is not available to every agent. Medicare has a lot of compliance, and you have to follow a verbatim script to complete an enrollment that takes 45 mins to an hour and good luck passing their absurd compliance reviews. I passed one or two compliance reviews and I read the entire script every time. Worst of all Assurance IQ has a department that micromanages you and sends text messages to let you know they have a foot on your neck & they are watching. If you are away from the computer for a few minutes expect a text message wanting an explanation for why you were not in the que taking more calls. Then if you stay in que they want to know why you are taking too many calls (If your conversion rate drops), so damned if you do and damned if you don't convert high enough.

Pluspunten

They take you to lunch on your first day. Hybrid 2 days in the office, but I'm sure that will increase. The benefits & pay.

Minpunten

No training at all. You learn by failed case work and what other coworkers tell you. They expect you to do case work you have never processed before. If you fail too many cases, they put it against you and say your quality is bad. Train normally and the quality wouldn't be bad. If you continue to do "bad", they will just put you on phone calls every day to help rude and mean old people. Upwards of 40+ calls daily. They also don't put everyone on phones even though they say being on phones is an essential part of the job. They pick and choose their favorites to do casework and put everyone else on phones daily. Managers are useless and just sit in meetings all day and don't offer help, training, or guidance. Managers also provide snobby remarks when asking for clarification or help and answer back as if you are the dumbest person in the room and act as if you should already know the answer.
