Uninterested upper management that lacks, severely, in common sense. Upper management located in AZ & CA provided ZERO support to our location in IA when they began implementing their backwards rules and 'grading' system. They were supposed to visit our location once per month to provide support and refused to do so until the manager in our office quit. Only when pressure began to come down on them from their management did they start to come out. By that time, a year had passed and every employee we had was run into the ground. We lost 5 employees within a few months because of their poor management. There was constant back & forth over procedures and underwriting with the AZ & CA management. The underwriting dept would have certain requirements for the agents to follow & management would attempt to override them and advise us to proceed in a different manner. Many of the things they advised us to do were things that would cause us to lose our licenses if the Dept of Ins discovered what was going on. I am one of the lucky ones that got out. I refuse to work for a company that is so disorganized or that puts a management team in charge that already ran their company (Balboa) into the ground. Like I said, severely lacking in common sense.
