Pluspunten
Generally speaking, it's a friendly place to work with some truly talented people to work with. Everyone seems really committed to the cause and just wants to do a good job and deliver great solutions for our customers. Middle managers, in particular, are well respected and people appreciate working for them, and rightly so. Working with Google tech, and being a premier partner of theirs, means we are at the forefront of cloud technology. Good performance is rewarded at the annual pay review. Social events and socialising outside of work is always encouraged. Working hours are relatively flexible and working from home is permitted when there is a reason for it or prior agreement. There is table tennis and a pool table that are used every day and well loved by staff. Excellent apprentice scheme, but still very much in its infancy.
Minpunten
Although the business has regular, profitable, support contracts - those expecting a regular churn of new projects for this consultancy company to work on will be disappointed. Although plenty of sales leads are generated, it seems to take a long time for those to be turned around into actual projects. Internally generated work and process reviews/improvements are therefore more commonplace here but I'm told that this is just a dip in an otherwise busy company - albeit a dip that's lasted most of the year. Little to no accountability for senior managers when projects don't go to plan. No budget for training, unless it's one that comes with a Google certificate at the end. This, of course, benefits the vital premier partner status of the company so is always rewarded with high praise...and a cupcake. Some "old fashioned" managers do not like the work from home policy or people working more flexible hours which is a real shame. Parking is limited to 9 spaces out the front, which are not clearly marked as it was previously a neglected small council parking lot, prior to taking ownership of this there was no parking for staff.
