Quality Innovation, Inc (Team Qi2) is a great company to work for. You start immediately at the rate promised. Vacation time is now accrued for new employees (not sure if there's still a probationary period or not), so they no longer have to wait a year before getting some paid leave other than sick time. They offer unbeatable health coverage for those who have none, like myself. I also have an HRA account where the rest of my Health & Welfare dollars go. And although the H&W can't be applied to your paycheck if you already have your own coverage (like Tricare or a Marketplace plan), they will put it into a 401k for you and match it up to 4% as well, which builds up very fast for those who do. We received pre-paid gift cards around the holidays, which was actually a really nice surprise. I even got an Olive Garden gift card sent to me for my birthday from the President/CEO of the company (as did others). I think personable gestures like that are really nice and help make employees feel special; it was a nice unexpected gift. Onboarding was a little iffy, but we made it through. It's probably just difficult to keep track of everything when you have tons of people to follow-up on. As far as everything else goes, I've been on this contract for 3 years and haven't had any major complaints. Most things were able to be handled in-office since I was lucky enough to share an office with the Lead Contractor for pretty much the whole life of the contract. Anything that needed to be pushed higher, we knew that she would take care of it and/or get the answers needed from Qi2 so that we could move forward.
Minpunten
Unfortunately, being under a contract it's difficult to get overtime approved, but there are situations where it is necessary in order to complete a mission (don't worry, it's not a common occurrence). It does require the Lead Contractor to reach out and coordinate. This was only an issue once for me, but for a co-worker of mine, it has been more of a hassle.
