Pluspunten
- In my first 4+ years in this team, the team work ethic, the training and learning offered and the team first focused were of the highest order I have come across. - You were trained in how to effectively carry out your role and when you demonstrated you were good at the role you were trusted to carry out the role professionally with minimal hands on interference from management. - There was buy in from all team members to support each other and do their share of the work to avoid too much pressure on any one member. This lead to a social as well as professional appreciation of the team and the environment it created.
Minpunten
- In my final 2 and half years at Quest the positive and supportive envoronment I mentioned in my pros changed dramtically, post a team merger, to a quantity driven and robotic envrionment where the same team first focus and social integration was not fostered. - New team members were no longer given the training and lead in time in terms of getting up to speed with the volume of work expected. This lead to a culture of fear and fear of making mistakes among newer personnel, meaning senior personnel had to consistently chase to ensure the workload was more evenly shared only for the situation to revert a few weeks later. - As time wore on senior personnel, who were not managerial favorites but were hard working, found recognition and reward for contious hard work minimal to non existent. There seemed to be more concern about the occassionl unhappy external stakeholder comment in their interaction with the team than focusing on the positive of the good work that those team members were doing on both day to day matters and high impact projects. - I wish my former colleagues the very best. However, I am very happy I am no longer in that environment which given my years of previous happiness mentioned in the pros section I feel should underline the environment now in place in the team.
