Pluspunten
Not many. Nice office, I guess? Large database of properties but not a good one
Minpunten
Advertisement of the job was completely dishonest. They promoted a high degree of flexibility, working your own hours, "being your own boss" etc. They also said you need no experience in letting as they would train you. The reality is completely opposite. They expect you to be in 9am - 5pm every day to work from the office (even though the job can be done from home, so there's no reason to be in). Then they will also suggest that if you want to be successful you need to work weekends as well. You go through a crash course of about 3 days of supposed training, although they don't teach you any basics about how the letting process works, they only teach you how their system works and a few random facts about Maltese property. Once I was working at the branch I applied to (which also was unclear as I applied via an online ad and was not aware that the application was linked to only one specific branch rather than the QuickLets chain), I was assigned supervision by two senior letting specialists. They were supposed to train me further in letting, but their so called "training" was essentially demanding me to make 40-50 phone calls a day. This did not make sense to me, as I got more leads from posting on social media, however I didn't have any time to pursue them due to having to meet this 40 daily calls quota. I was confident I could get more sales if I used my own methods to leverage my strengths in digital marketing, but this was not allowed as they wanted constant phone calls. The reason they do this is they want recruits to constantly be updating their database of properties, so they want you to call owners every day just to check if the property is still available. The owners of the property are always super annoyed when you call them because they receive a hundred other phone calls from Quicklets specialists all the time, without having any potential clients to bring them. Property owners overall have very negative perception of QuickLets. The job posts also gave an average salary range. There is no fixed salary as the only payment you get is by commission, of which QuickLets takes a huge cut. Zero financial security from this position. In summary, of all the benefits advertised for the job, none of them were actually real.
