Pluspunten

- The nearby food scene might be the only comfort. - You’ll meet lots of friendly colleagues—though most of them will be fired in no time.

Minpunten

- Sky-high turnover rate: I can't even remember how many former colleagues I’ve had. If you don’t hit unrealistic profit targets within three months, you’re fired—regardless of your role. - Empty promises: Qumin lures talent with offers of work visas. In reality, even visa-sponsored staff are let go without hesitation. Don’t trust anything they promise in your interview. - Zero-growth environment: There are no senior leaders worth learning from. Qumin has no interest in developing its people—they always rely on vendors’ work. Expect a painfully slow learning curve. - Profit-above-all mindset: Qumin’s so-called “7-hour workday” sounds dreamy, but here’s the catch: you’re expected to complete all your daily tasks within those hours. Need more time? Not allowed—it eats into margins. The only solution? Unpaid overtime.

Pluspunten

China marketing is a really dynamic and interesting space to work in, you will get the chance to work with some of the world's biggest companies as clients. Employees are passionate and many form strong friendships.

Minpunten

The senior leadership are chaotic at best, absolutely incompetent at worst. They are brimming with big ideas and know their stuff when it comes to China marketing, but they lack the ability to follow through on their ideas. The outcome is a workplace in which overwork, constant strategy switch-ups, and burnout among employees is par for the course. All employees are hard-working and passionate, but the CEO finds ways to consistently blame them for any problems in the company (to the extent of occasional instances of workplace bullying) whilst never taking meaningful accountability for his own failure to be an effective leader. Employees are expected to buy-in to his vision and give 100% in spite of poor pay, poor progression, and lack of respect. The company gets away with this raw deal because the majority of employees are foreign nationals in need of visas. This is toxic and exploitative.
