Pluspunten
Lots of long-time employees who are smart, dedicated people. Big company that is constantly changing - new acquisitions, upcoming spin-off's. There is an aging workforce so lots of retirements are on the horizon opening new opportunities. Highly ethical, conservative accounting.
Minpunten
No 401K match (also no pension). Healthcare benefits are expensive. (This is not related to rising healthcare costs. The company's contribution per person has been decreasing in recent years.) Bonus payout vs. the potential offered is low. Lots of pressure to platforms and departments impacted by acquisitions & spin-off's with little relief - only additional pressure. Senior management doesn't address excess capacity (restructuring / efficiency) but instead acquires more (market share strategy). Politics and passive-aggressiveness at the top is increasing - and long-time, high-value employees are becoming disgruntled.
