If you’re trans, prepare to be disrespected. Dispatch is rude & the routes are all over the place! Jesse, the safety instructor, expects you to act like a child & listen to every single thing he says. He don’t like adults who ask questions for clarity. I really feel like he gets off on firing people. In my training class, never did he go he over correct answers in our work book but instead continued on the lesson without asking if anyone had questions. He told HR, Carla he doesn’t like our class because we talk too much! Mind you, I was the youngest in the class & i’m 31….. we are not children & some folks were old enough to be his father! Carla, the HR lady replied in turn said well anything dirty will come out in the wash referring since we talk too much, then we won’t pass our test. Jesse also discredits anyone who had a career at Indygo & advised Indygo wasn’t teaching proper pre trip training when Ratp Dev is CONTRACTED by Indygo. Ratp dev does not even do proper pre trip inspections of their buses. Most of them have the check engine light on, the ac doesn’t work & the fans are literally dangling. One driver said she almost got hit in the head by something that fell from the bus! Another lady had 8 years of bus driver experience & he pretty much told her it didn’t matter because bus driving didn’t coincide with paratransit lol. It’s literally almost the same thing! Except we are dealing with ADA people! We don’t get paid enough to deal with unruly ADA folks. Jesse also did not properly advise me of my cadetting schedule and then made it my fault because he failed to reach out & tell me! My cadet trainer schedule was 330a-12p we never crossed paths especially if she’s on the road & im in training. Not to mention, I was called an IT by dispatch because I’m trans :/
