Staff members calling students and other staff the “n-word” or other racial slurs, staff and admin have made it known they do NOT support LGBTQ+ students or staff as they should, with administrators using offensive and hurtful language which when addressed, they’re not penalized & HR is lacking in communication. Many different “cliques” within the building (lifelong friends, couples, family members, etc.) which leads to an absence of camaraderie and support, students are not treated equally due to biases with race, gender, orientation, mannerisms, and their time in attendance with the school. Serious concerns and questions are brought to the administration teams attention, but in response they become aggravated, respond with sarcastic tones, interrupt your questions or concerns, and will non-renew your contract or terminate you for utilizing your PTO, & will terminate you for giving them two weeks notice that you are leaving their establishment. President of union states homophobic and transphobic propaganda. Clinical director of elementary school (white woman) calls her daughter the “n-word” (who is a mixed woman that has shared this information with me). Middle/high school clinical director casually utilizes homophobic/transphobic language & phrases. Per MA law, full time employees are entitled to a lunch break where they are duty free and able to leave the premises of their employer as they see fit, but administration has sent out countless emails stating that their employees are to remain on the property in case they are needed, which is against our rights. When issues such as these are addressed, the employee addressing them faces backlash & more uncomfortable accommodations. If there is an altercation between staff working in the same classroom, the victim is relocated and the aggressor is able to remain in their classroom. People have been heard moaning over staff radios once students have departed & school adjustment counselors avoid their duties to have personal time in their office with a specific staff member. Staff frequently sneak out to smoke cigarettes on the premises or bring students to vape in areas without vape sensors.
