Pluspunten
The people. Not necessarily the higher ups, but the ones that are out there in the trenches and doing the work. RMG has a very talented creative team that's a pleasure to work with. Tech wizards over in Dallas that may say something can't be done but then take the time to prototype and find a way to make it happen. Analytics and planning departments that are worth their weight in gold since they provide the type of insight and metrics that actually inform a project and make it better. Smart people all around that recognize needs, voids and opportunities in every corner. With JWT really internalizing RMG, the client portfolio has grown significantly and the caliber/scope of work coming out of the shop will surely continue increasing. There will be good opportunities there for the right candidates.
Minpunten
Same as with all larger agencies: too many cooks in the kitchen, inefficiencies as a result of process limitations or bureaucracy and politics. It is always disappointing to find that some of the really interesting stuff will be outsourced to a vendor, but that, too is to be expected. Another somewhat unique downside is the extra attention that is needed to orchestrate all the moving parts of a project since chances are you will be working across the three primary offices of NY, Dallas and Atlanta. Depending on the account and the position, you may not even see your 'base' office for the majority of the month. There are great advantages of the mobility, but it can get frustrating not having enough face time, on demand, with the people you need to move the project to the next step.
