There is a consistent lack of leadership and direction from company executives. Employee thoughts, opinions, ideas, and contributions are ignored. If the idea doesn't originate from upper management then its labeled as a bad idea. As a result there is a high turn over rate. Management expects employees to carry out their directions without question even when their decision making continuously pushes a bad position wanting workers to be "Yes" men. There is a constant effort from upper management to task shed delegating all of their work down the food chain potentially doubling (or tripling) your work load on any given day. As a result you WILL be micromanaged from company executives. Quality is thrown out the window in product development / process improvement order to do everything as cheaply as possible. Because of the push to use cheap material if there is a customer issue on a weekend (which 9/10 times could have been prevented if done right the first time) you are expected to drop your weekend activities to answer phone calls, emails, and even come in to work if necessary. College degrees are meaningless in this corporate environment. Someone without a college degree (or relevant experience) makes substantially more than an individual with a BS/BA for no apparent reason. Even individuals with the same job title and same degree from the same university starting their positions at the same time have different salaries. Regardless of your degree or job title you are expected to do field/service work in areas you may have no experience in for example a controls engineer doing plumbing work. Certain individuals are allowed to work from home (or remote) while others are not afforded the same opportunities. Benefits are terrible and inconsistent across the board.
